Blind spot free panoramic rear view system

Main idea

      Industry looking for a rear view solution that one rear view display device to replace the three rear view mirrors or their corresponding  replacement cameras and the separate displays.

     this solution provide a solution that boast rear view of real prospective that show correct distance,orientation and geometry location compare with other existing solutions.

      The solution is installing a image camera on the dashboard looking upward to the windshield and use the windshield surface as mirror to reflect the rear view into the camera lens.

       This solution equivalent to move the rear view camera from car trunk location  to the front end of the car.

       The field of view of this camera cover FOV of left right and rear view camera and part of blind spot.

      A unsymmetrical image acquisition system was develop to capture the rear view reflection image on the windshield and reject the sunlight that go thought the windshield. the transparency of the windshield is keeped for the view of driver at same time.

Since the camera is located at relatively far distance to the passengers,A and B pillars. only a small parts of cars behind is blocked.

Farther reduce the the view blockages cause by the in cabin objects, the camera could have more than one lens, the multi images can be processed to make the in-cabin objects looks transparent.

The three cameras stitch image Mirror-less solution display driver side,passenger side and trunk mounted rear camera separately side by side on overhead display as one way. the really objective  of this solution is to stitch the  driver side,passenger side and trunk mounted rear camera images into one panoramic rear view.

   The disadvantage of three cameras solution

1) The prerequisite of stitch images perfectly together is that the optical centers of the cameras of each images should in one spot.

2) Since the driver side,passenger side and trunk mounted rear cameras are separated at relatively large distance. the objects in the image in the  stitched view is not complete, prospective is not at correct location.
